Another rising sun leads into another blue sky, cloudlessly reminding us that there is more to life than the monotony that we drudge through each day. Blue is the color of life, of rebirth and of the heavens. That in itself should be enough to make us remember what is important, but we can't see beyond the distractions of the day to the things that are truly worth the amount of energy they consume.
Instead if focusing on the minutiae of politics, wars, economies, and of society, wouldn't our lives be better spend in active pursuit of betterment of ourselves as human beings? Shouldn't our energies be focused on life enrichment instead if hate-mongering and mud-slinging?
I dream that someday my daughter will know a world where self-worth is not derived from one's ability to tread the waters of the monotonous and obligatory tasks of life, but upon the value that one has created through skill and life experience.
